Hiking on the Indiangrasses Trail in Doeskin Ranch in the Balcones Canyonlands NWR.
I shot this just over a year ago, but Lake Travis in the Texas Hill Country still looks like this today. You can see Mansfield Dam, that forms the lake, in the distance. When the lake is full, this is completely underwater, but sometimes peninsula (as this strip of land as come to be known) has not seen water over it in several years. Although it's 'neat' to be able to walk to the middle of the lake, I'll be glad when this spot is once again under water.
Waiting for the bats to make their nightly appearance at Devil's Sinkhole State Natural Area. Unfortuneately, on this night the bats weren't on our time schedule. Some were coming out before dark, but there was never a mass ascension.
