Nothing like a good swimming hole and this one is on the San Gabriel River just off County Road 279 south of Liberty Hill, Texas. I've ridden my bike over the bridge that looks down on this swimming spot more times than I can count over the years, but never stopped to go down and take a look. Yesterday evening I decided to make the stop in my celebration of National Camera Day. Hope you enjoy this little slice of the Texas Hill Country as much as I enjoyed capturing it at sunset.
Switching back to the Texas Hill Country this Sunday morning after spending quite a bit of time sharing photos taken on our Alaskan cruise in May. I still have a lot more of those to share, but I wanted to return home today for this photo I made yesterday of one of our friend's 'barn' (aka shed). They have a great hillside of flowers below the 'barn' that I thought looked really nice with the building. I tried this in color, but it just didn't have the right feel to it for my taste so I worked with it in black and white. I really like the texture I was able to bring out in B&W in the 'barn'. I love the old feel it gives the shot, even though the 'barn' is only a couple of years old. Hope you're enjoying your SundayI
