Saguaro View
Saguaro National Park is one of the few national parks located immediately outside of a major metropolitan area. The park is split into two parts, one on the east side of Tucson, Arizona and one on the west side. A year ago this was one of the vistas we enjoyed as we drove around the portion of the park on the east side of Tucson. You might think deserts are all sand and no vegetation, but I can assure you Saguaro NP is anything but. It is teaming with life and one of the most unique places in the country. Desert Sentinels
Thinking about Arizona today and looking back at some images I made last spring in Saguaro National Park. Experimenting with Topaz Impressions to give the image a little more of a painterly look. I really like how it makes the saguaro stand out from the mountain background and is more representative of what I wanted to capture when I saw the scene.
