Having fun with a little light painting in the Chisos Basin of Big Bend National Park. The sign you see is the one at the exit from the campground in the basin. There are no lights to light it up and there was no moon to aid in providing a little light, so I used my headlamp for about a second or two to illumimate the sign just enough. On nights like this one it almost needs another sign staing 'Milky Way' with an arrow pointed straight up. :-) Photo by Steve Coyle Photography (www.stevecoylephotography.com)
Celebrating another trip around the sun today and dreaming of one of my favorite spots in Texas. I captured this desert moment the morning after some rain had fallen in Big Bend the day before. The moisture brought on a fog the next morning as temps cooled on the desert floor. I'll be headed back Big Bend in October to wrap up the photos for my 2018 calendar. I plan to have the calendar ready for sale by the end of October, just in time for your holiday shopping. :-) Photo by Steve Coyle Photography (www.stevecoylephotography.com)
The sun has set on another weekend. I made this image as I was chasing sunset in Big Bend National Park in May.. I do miss those open views of mountains and fantastic sunrises and sunsets. Photo by Steve Coyle Photography (www.stevecoylephotography.com)
