Water Ripples
Standing in Medano Creek in Great Sand Dunes National Park a couple of weeks ago. The ripples in the water are part of the surge flow phenomenon of the park. It's really quite interesting as the ripples appear our of no where. One minute the water is flat, the next minute these ripples occur as sand dams upstream break and allow water to 'surge' down the creek.
