Most of the time I'm watching the sunset for the right moment to capture a shot, but sometimes it's fun to turn around and see what effect the sunset is having on the sky behind me. Such was the case when I grabbed this shot last week on the Cedar Park Rec Center lake. As I've said before, sometimes it pays to look behind you. Never know what you're missing.
First star I see tonight (actually probably a planet) shines dimly in the sky over the lake by the Cedar Park Rec Center. I was headed back to the van when I turned around and saw this shot. Always remember to look over your shoulder. Don't know what you'll see.
When we went kayaking a few weeks ago one of the guys in our group put a cairn on the end of the granite outcrop that we slept on to mark the spot for future excursions. I thought it made a cool shot as the sun set that evening.
