Sky Art
My wife and I braved the traffic and the crowds last night to go see the City of Austin's fireworks. It had been over 10 years since we had been and the city's demonstration last night did not disappoint. This is something I've wanted to do for several years, but I always found an excuse for not making the trek downtown, usually because I didn't want to deal with traffic. I found this vantage point overlooking the city where other photographers were already gathered. They were kind enough to let me squeeze in and wait with them for dark. Fireworks photography and landscape photography are very similar in that you have to find the right location and then you need to wait. Patience pays off as I feel it did here. Here's to another year of freedom in the USA! Photo by Steve Coyle Photography (www.stevecoylephotography.com)
