I wish I had a photo of this skyline from this point when I moved here in 1995. I know it would look a LOT different. None of the foreground highrises were there at that time. By the look of all the cranes (7 is what I counted), the same skyline will be changing even more of the next few years. At one time there was a strict ordinance against blocking the view line of the state capitol. That ordinance has all been thrown out with the construction of all the downtown highrises in the last 10-15 years.
The Pennybacker Bridge on 360 in Austin, Texas has been photographed by many. This was the other shot I got of it a few months ago that I liked and decided it was time to share. An arch for hump day!
It was a chilly morning on Lake Austin today when I captured this shot. There were 2 other photographers up on the bluff with me. Sunday morning is the time to go. One of the few times you'll ever see Loop 360 without a traffic jam.
