Cairns marking the entrance to the Indiangrass Trail at Doeskin Ranch.
A Texas Hill Country sunset at Doeskin Ranch.
I was drawn to this piece of granite with a bluebonnet plant growing out of it on our hike around Inks Lake State Park. It was nice to see a little green considering how dry it has been this winter.
I always wonder what's over the next rise or bend in the trail. I won't tell you here, you'll have to go for a hike there yourself.
A view of Enchanted Rock State Park most people that visit the park never see. Saw this the first time on a bicycle ride several years ago. It still remains one of my favorite views of the park with the dilapidated barn that is falling into even more disrepair as time marches on.
Saw this guy on a drive through the Texas Hill Country a few weeks ago. Couldn't resist stopping and grabbing a shot of him.
Looking out from the inner circle at Stonehenge II. I think I hear the music from 2001: A Space Odyssey starting up. :-)
If going 1/2 way around the world to see these landmarks is out of your travel budget, all you need to do is travel to Ingram, Texas to see both in one location. Not the same as going to the original, but nonetheless, a fun thing to do if you're ever in the Texas Hill Country.
Looking over the Llano River into downtown Llano as the sun sets to the west. The Roy Inks bridge was built in 1935 and is one of the few remaining in service truss bridges in the state. The Llano County Courthouse is in the distance.
